Home Improvement

Normally I don't share photos of my apartments, but I recently just moved & am so in love with my new condo that I wanted to share a few photos.

My favorite thing about this new place (aside from having no roommates) is the kitchen. Yes, I know I don't cook often, but it's just nice to look at new stainless steel appliances. Plus, I love the wine theme I chose. They compliment each other nicely.

My second favorite attribute of the condo is the bathroom... Well, mainly the decor I chose. I saw this shower curtain & knew I had to build my entire bathroom's look on it. Hello, it's super girly & has leopard print!

I'm still in the process of decorating & will show you the final results. Just wanted to share a little sneak peak. More photos to come!

Fashion Show at Can Can

Last week, as part of RVA Fashion Week, I attended a fashion show at Can Can Brasserie in Carytown. This show presented looks from local stores (flyer below). It was an amazing show. The models actually walked on the bar!

All day, I complained about not having anything to wear. So when I got home, I literally threw on pieces from my closet I loved. Although, each piece is a little random, I love how the outfit turned out. What do you think?

Blazer: H&M
Sweater: Forever 21
Shorts: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Target
Purse: Louis Vuitton
Watch: Michael Kors

I promise I'm not bored/mad/miserable. I just can't pull off the no smile in photos.

Candid. I suck at these sorts of photos. Need to work on it.

Met some more great people. RFW networking!!

Check out Natural Talent Clothing

Photos for all the events & shows I attended during RVA Fashion Week will be posted at CocoKouture Magazine. Don't worry, I'll be sure to post a link!

RVA Fashion Week Networking Social

This week in Richmond is RVA Fashion Week. Aside from attending shows (pics to come!), I had the please of going to a networking social Wednesday night. I met some really great & inspiring people. I didn't know the fashion scene in Richmond, well, existed. I am so happy to find a group of people with the same goals & dreams I have. YAY!!

This is the outfit I chose for the shindig- snakeskin blouse & black trouser. I decided to go for something a little business casual, especially since I knew a lot of the people had careers in marketing & I'd be not only promoting my blog, but myself since I'm hunting for a career in pr/marketing/advertising.  I think my ensemble turned out well & I made amazing contacts.

Blouse: H&M
Pants: Target
Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Watch: Michael Kors

The Ultimate Motivator

Normally, I don't link to other blogs, but I absolutely had to. This my lovely readers is Catherine from Cath in the City. It's a Norwegian blog & I am obsessed with it. Lately, I've been trying to get into a new fitness routine that includes running, because, well, I hate running. After reading her "Workout Talk" I just knew I had to share this with you. Is her body not amazing?! Looks like I'm adding running & weight training to my fitness plan starting TODAY! Thanks Cath for the motivation!!

Spring Has Finally Sprung

This weekend may quite possibly be the best this year. I won't go into details, but a lot of really great things happened. And I must say, I am working on my spontaneity. Like this photo, I woke up Sunday morning thinking I'm just going to run a few errands (I took Bella to PetSmart since that was like the only store open on Easter). Somehow, I ended up at a park having a picnic. True, a dress may not have been the best option, but I didn't have time to run home to change. I actually enjoyed myself & ya know what, nature's not too bad. Plus, I bought this dress a few months ago & have been dying to wear it. If you are familiar with Max Studio dresses, you know it's a tad ridiculous I wore this dress to  a picnic, but I wouldn't be me if I weren't a little crazy when it came to fashion. In case you were wondering, Louis ventured with me to the park, too.

 Dress: Max Studio
Shoes: Rainbow
Sunnies: Dior
Watch: Michael Kors

My favorite thing about this picture you ask?! Helloooooo the maroon & orange color scheme (HOKIES), which was totally unplanned I mind you.

Trend To Try: Cutouts

I've been obsessing over clothing featuring cutouts. There's something so fun & unpredictable about a dress or blouse that showcases a little skin. So far, I only have one dress with a that back cutout & I cannot wait to wear it. Are you as crazy about this trend as I am?!

Parker, Nordstrom $198

Forever 21 $29.80

Girls Night Out

Hi loves. Sorry I've been so MIA on the blogshpere, but I've been so busy. Between working, working out, going out, searching for a new (better) job & new apartment, I've just been pooped. Luckily, my girlfriend snapped these pics before a night out on the town. It was a little chilly, so I opted for something with sleeves. But I also knew that inside was going to be hot, hence the shorts. Unfortunately, this blouse didn't survive the delicate cycle & ripped under the right arm. Too bad I have no clue how to sew, which means so long blouse :-(

Tonight, I'm taking a break from stressing over everything && from the boy to catch up on TV, blogging & wine consumption. I feel so zen right now & I love. Back to it tomorrow. What do you do to relax?!

Blouse: Jason Wu for Target
Shorts & Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Watch: Michael Kors
