2013,I'm Ready For Ya!

Hi everyone-

It's officially 2013 & I couldn't be happier. 2012 was probably the worst year of my life. Instead of making a list of resolutions for the new year, like last year, I've decided to make 2013 the year of HAPPINESS. I'm done worrying about stuff I can't control & focusing on simply being happy.

I believe 2013 will me MY year & I'm excited to see what it will bring. New job? New man? Financially stability? Who knows, but I'm ready for it!!

New: TJ Maxx & The Limited

Hey y'all-

I haven't had much time to shop these days, but I did manage a few short trips to stores while on my breaks at work. Tuesday, I managed to snag this black silky blouse from The Limited. I cannot wait to wear it! Yesterday, I ran into TJ Maxx/Home Goods to get a pair of booties. I got lucky with this gray pair. Somehow I found myself roaming through the clothing section on my wait to checkout & grabbed this green chiffon blouse by Tramp (yes, that's the brand). The gold buttons instantly drew me to this shirt. It was also refreshing not to buy anything black. Hopefully, I can squeeze in another mini shop trip before Christmas since I have no clue what I'm going to wear. Hope you all had a great weekend!

OFTD: Job Interview

Hi all-

 

Earlier today, I had a job interview. I am not one to wear a business suit no matter how conservative the field, so I opted for something similar to this. I wore a green dress with black polka dots & topped it off with a classic black blazer. I then added opaque black tights, black leather boots & my usually gold accessories. I still appeared business ready, without compromising my personal style- which is very important!

New: Charlotte Russe

Hi everyone-

I did something today that I haven't done in a long long while- SHOPPING! Actually, I ran down to Charlotte Russe while I was supposed to be working today to grab a shirt to wear tomorrow. Well, of course that shirt tunred into a few extras.

The first thing I got was this woven blouse. I  wanted something semi-conservative, but fun at the same time. This button down is perfect. It feautes lace on the shoulders & has a cute little cut-out in the back. I also gravitated towards this top because it's not black. I needed some color in my life.

Well after picking up the blouse, I decide to take a gander at some jewelry. Most jewelry was only $5 today so I couldn't pass up these earrings & necklaces. The phone case I grabbed at the cash wrap as I was waiting to pay. It's super adorable.

Neiman Marcus x Target
